Springboard pringboard
is a community based charity providing a safe, accessible, inclusive play and
recreation centre for young people with special needs or disabilities and to families
with young children, irrespective of their ethnicity or status, together with
support, advocacy and information services for our members. Springboard
Project has now been established for 20 years, having been originally formed from
the nucleus of the "Grasshoppers" self help group and other voluntary groups for
young children with disabilities. Now, the Project has seven membership groups
with two new groups have been formed recently - "Buddies"
- a new Buddy Scheme for young people aged 11-18 with special needs or disabilities
