Bunny Hoppers

Bunny Hoppers is a playgroup for under 5's needing additional support accompanied by their families, at Springboard on Sunday afternoons providing "on-site" short breaks and sharing information for newly diagnosed infants.

Bunny Hoppers meets monthly on Sunday afternoons and is for children from birth to 5 years with an additional need or disability, who can enjoy our Centre's facilities with their families. These children will transfer to Grasshoppers when they are 5 years old. Once again this is manned by the Activity Scheme staff and volunteers who look after the children, whilst the parents are able to relax a little in the Centre and talk to each other or share information and concerns. We also invite professionals from groups like the Child Disability Team who can provide valuable information and we hope to welcome other representatives from other support networks at the monthly sessions.

We can also refer Bunny Hoppers families to our new Parent Plus programme. This is a befriending group of trained volunteers who support parents with infants who have been recently diagnosed with any form of disability. This is part of the overall support we can now provide to families with young children who need additional support.
