“Grasshoppers offers my daughter a chance to try new experiences surrounded by supportive and understanding people. She enjoys playing with the lovely volunteers and is encouraged to start friendships with her peers. In addition it gives me a chance to spend quality time with my son.” – 6-12 Parent

We have three 6-12 groups based in Horsham, Crawley and Worthing offering regular holiday activities on weekdays and a Saturday Club during term time for children with disabilities or special educational needs aged from 6-12.

Short Break Aims:

  • To improve disabled children and teenagers social lives
  • To increase life skill and independence
  • To enhance family wellbeing and relationships

Families are sent details of the groups activities programme for each term or holiday period in advance so they can choose their favourite activities.

In addition to our local Co-ordinators and support staff, all children attending our sessions are supported by young volunteers from local schools and colleges who are recruited and trained for this role.

Membership also includes access to Springboard House during regular opening hours.
